It is known that Danişmentli ruler Melik Mehmed Gazi died on January 6, 1143 and was buried in his tomb in his own social complex. The pointed-arched entrance door in the middle of the tomb, which dates back to the first quarter of the 12th century, is recessed into the facade. The building was built adjacent to the middle of the southern façade of the Ulu Mosque, which was also built by Melik Mehmet Gazi. The courtyard of the tomb, which is below the elevation level, is accessed by stairs.
Melik Mehmed Gazi Tomb was built with a rectangular plan in the north-south direction.
